Consortio security awarded
Gold Armed Services Covenant accreditation. Consortio Security is pleased to be recognised as an MOD Employment Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award Winner. The Employer Recognition Scheme acknowledges employers who have provided exceptional support to the armed forces community and defence. Through a 3 tier approach of bronze, silver and gold , the scheme recognises the different levels of commitment provided by employers.

Consortio Security has military personnel implemented at all levels of the organisation.
From our CEO through to our security officers, we have employees with a military background. Below are just a few examples of some of our current employees and which regiment they served.
Ex-military personnel
Consortio Security’s Chief executive officer, Earl Knight has a proud military record, having served as a Royal Engineer in the Army.
Consortio Security’s Chief Operating officer, Nathan Potter has key experience which stems from a high ranked military background. He served with 2nd Battalion, Royal Anglian Regiment.
Our Head of Operations, Wayne Redman oversees the company’s operations. Prior to joining Consortio Security, Wayne served with the Royal Military Police for 12 years.
Our Head of HR, Mick Stone initially started his career with the Royal Air Force, where he served for just over 20 years in Personnel Management. Following on from this, he joined the private security industry, before joining our company as Head of Human Resources.
Above all we continue to employ and support individuals who have come from the Armed Forces as well as strengthening our current workforce by attending the MOD future leadership programmes. There are several parallels between Consortio Security and the Armed Forces with regards to our daily challenges, our values and strong team ethos. Employees who have come from a military background have brought a depth of discipline and a broad range of knowledge to our business. This has been crucial in supporting our continued growth and expansion
Gold armed services covenant requirements
By becoming a gold member of the Employer Recognition Scheme, we have demonstrated:
First of all, we have signed the The Armed Forces Covenant
Consortio Security has already stated our intent to be supportive by using the ERS website to register at the Bronze level.
We have demonstrated that service personnel are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of our recruitment process.
Also Consortio Security has pledged to employ at least one individual from the armed forces community category that the nomination emphasises. For example, an employer nominated for support to the Reserves must employ at least one Reservist.
We have actively ensured that our workforce is aware of their positive policies towards defence people issues.
Finally Consortio Security have not been the subject of any negative PR or media activity.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant we promise that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, are treated fairly. As a result we encourage any businesses or charity who wish to demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces, to sign the covenant.
Through signing the covenant we can confirm that we recognise the value, current and ex-military personnel, contribute to our country. Consortio Security will endeavour to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which are:
- no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen
- in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.
Accreditations
Consortio Security Limited currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of Security Guarding and Key Holding.
Our team understands the value and benefit of being an SIA–ACS approved company.
The objective of the SIA’s Approved Contractor scheme was introduced to raise performance standards and to assist the private security industry in developing new opportunities.
Though the scheme is voluntary, we believe being a member shows desire and commitment to continuous development and improvement of our service offerings to our Clients.
